美国音乐学院分为哪几类音乐专业申请要求介绍

赴美留学学习音乐的同学越来越多，那美国的音乐学院分为哪几类呢?

在美国，开设音乐专业的学校可以分为2类，第一类是专业性极强的音乐学校，这类音乐学校是专门为那些将来以音乐为职业目标的学生来设置的。

最为著名的代表就是茱莉亚音乐学校，曼哈顿音乐学院，柯蒂斯音乐学校、新英格兰音乐学校等。但是，这类音乐学院每一年的招生人数非常少，竞争也非常激烈。

第二类是综合性大学下面的音乐学院。这类音乐学院在音乐方面的教育一点不比第一类的音乐学校差。虽然这类音乐学院是依托在大学之下，但是他们的音乐教育反而更为出众。

音乐学院下开设的各常见分支及专业：

音乐学院提供的研究生学位

MA(Master of Arts)与MM(Masterof Music)：

MM是艺术专业硕士，着重于表演,通常要求申请者在申请过程中提交作品集(pre-screening,portfolio)或参加表演面试(liveaudition)。

MA是文学硕士，注重学术研究以及创作。

音乐专业申请要求

★1、国际生都要求托福成绩，iBT最好在80分以上。一些排名靠前的综合大学，托福要求接近90分。如，威斯康辛麦迪逊大学iBT最低要求87.

★2、申请艺术类专业大多是不需要提供GRE成绩的，但对于音乐教育，音乐理论等理论性较强的专业要求GRE;器乐类和声乐类部分学校不要求GRE，更看重的是表演能力;但90%好的音乐学院的博士要求GRE，包括表演方向。GPA：3.0以上为好。

作品集的提交：

对于需要提交作品集的学校，一般都有以下几种提交作品集的方式：

Eg:UCLA Conducting, Piano, Voice3个专业的作品要求如下：

Your CD/DVD must also be accompanied by a cover sheetthat gives the following information:

Repertoire youare presenting.

Conducting -Organization being conducted and your connection to that organization.

Comments youwish to make about this video or the recording session.

到指定的网站进行音乐学院的申请并提交作品集，常用的网站有：slideroom, accepted等。

★6.Deadline:音乐学院总体来说申请截止日期都比较早，许多学校的deadline都集中在12.1前后，例如University ofTexas—Austin的网申提交和作品集提交截止日期都是12.1; University ofWisconsin—Madison截止日期是12.1。
